What is the central idea of the passage about careers?

Read the passage: For decades, success in many families was measured by a single question: did the child become a doctor or an engineer? These professions remain respected, but the world of work has widened greatly. Today, young people build careers in graphic design, data analysis, sports physiotherapy, food science and many fields that did not exist a generation ago. Career counsellors encourage students to consider their own interests and strengths, not only the opinions of relatives. A satisfied designer, they argue, contributes more to society than an unhappy engineer who chose the profession only to please others.

Correct answer C. Young people now have many career options and should choose according to their interests
