ECAT Math MCQs are multiple-choice questions on the arithmetic, algebra and reasoning tested in engineering entry tests, including fractions, percentages, averages, ratios, work and time problems, factorisation and basic counting. They help FSc students preparing for ECAT, NAT and university admission tests. Every question on MCQs360 shows its answer instantly, so you can check each step as you practise.

This collection focuses on the quick-solving maths that entry tests use to measure numerical reasoning. Questions ask which fraction is less than 2/7, what fractional part of two days 98 minutes is, or by what percent an average rose from 62 to 82. Others involve finding the average of integers from 101 to 200 or working out the ratio needed after adding the same number to two terms.
Topics include fractions and comparison of numbers, percentages and percentage change, averages, ratio and proportion, and unitary method problems such as men consuming wheat or using supplies over days. Work and time questions combine rates of several workers. Algebra items cover factorisation, differences of squares and simplifying expressions, while counting questions use combinations, for example choosing a three person committee from ten countries.
Mathematics is a major section of ECAT and features prominently in NAT, NTS and other engineering and science entry tests. Many of these question types also appear in aptitude sections of armed forces and university admission tests. Because entry tests are timed and highly competitive, practising these MCQs regularly builds the speed and confidence needed to finish the paper accurately.

The most important topics in this collection are fractions, percentages, averages, ratio and proportion, unitary method, work and time, and basic algebra such as factorisation. Counting problems using combinations also appear. For the full ECAT syllabus, these arithmetic skills support the FSc mathematics topics tested in the paper.
These MCQs are designed for ECAT in Pakistan and are equally useful for NAT, NTS, ETEA and GAT, as well as armed forces initial tests. Similar quantitative questions appear in engineering admission tests such as BUET in Bangladesh and in Indian entrance exams like CUET and NDA.
MCQs360 has more than 700 ECAT Math MCQs covering arithmetic, algebra, averages, ratios, work and time and counting. Each question shows its correct answer instantly, and practice is free with no sign-up, so you can fit short sessions into your entry test revision plan.
Strengthen your FSc mathematics basics, then practise MCQs topic by topic to learn quick methods. Focus on shortcuts for averages, percentages and work problems. Track the time you spend on each question, and move to full timed practice papers in the final weeks to build exam stamina and speed.
The average of the integers from 101 to 200 inclusive is 150.5. For any list of consecutive integers, the average equals the average of the first and last terms, so (101 + 200) ÷ 2 = 150.5. This shortcut saves time compared with adding all one hundred numbers.
Divide the increase by the original value and multiply by 100. If an average rises from 62 to 82, the increase is 20, so the percentage increase is 20 ÷ 62 × 100, which is about 32.3 percent. Always divide by the original value, not the new one.
