About SSC CGL MCQs
SSC CGL is held in tiers of computer-based tests. Tier 1 is a qualifying paper with four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Tier 2 tests mathematical abilities, reasoning, English, general awareness and computer knowledge in more depth, with extra papers for certain posts such as statistical and audit roles. General Awareness draws on Indian polity, history, geography, economy and general science.
The subject cards below map directly to these sections. Reasoning and Aptitude (Maths) cover General Intelligence and Quantitative Aptitude, and English covers comprehension, grammar and vocabulary. Indian Polity, Indian History, Indian Geography, Indian Economy and Banking and Everyday Science together build General Awareness, while Computer helps with the Tier 2 computer module. Practise maths and reasoning daily for speed, and revise the awareness subjects in short, regular sessions.
