What is the main purpose of the passage about old mobile phones?
Read the passage: Before you throw away an old mobile phone, consider giving it a second life. A phone that seems outdated to you may be perfectly useful to a student who needs to join online classes, or to an elderly relative who only wants to make calls. If it no longer works, take it to an authorised collection point, where its metals can be recovered safely instead of polluting the soil. Remember to remove your personal data first. Small choices like these, repeated by millions of people, can make a real difference.
Correct answer B. To encourage readers to reuse or responsibly recycle old phones
The passage advises giving phones a second life or taking them to collection points, so its purpose is to encourage reuse and responsible recycling.
